Apricot kernel oil / Prunus armeniaca

Nourishing, moisturizing, emollient. Loaded with oleic and linoleic fatty acids, antioxidants vitamin E and ferulic acid, and soothing sterols.

Astragalus membranaceous root extract
With over 200 bioactives, astragalus is an amazing all-rounder with antioxidant properties. Moisturizing and humectant, boosts natural production of hyaluronic acid. Brightens and evens. Improves elasticity, making skin look firmer and more resilient.

Bakuchiol
Natural retinol alternative proven to give retinol-equivalent results without irritation or UV sensitivity. Gentle enough to be used twice daily. Boosts production of collagen, improves firmness, elasticity and the look of lines and wrinkles. Fades hyperpigmentation and UV-induced dark spots. Antioxidant, and soothing. May have benefits for blemished skin.

Humectant derived from caprylic acid found in coconut oil. Hydrates and helps skin retain moisture. Also acts as a preservative to keep formulas fresh.

Wax derived from vegetable oils that acts as an emollient and emulsifier. Gentle fatty alcohols such as this are very different to ethanol alcohols that dry the skin.

A gentle, emollient wax derived from vegetable oils that acts as an emulsifier, and skin-softening emollient. What’s known as a fatty alcohol, it has nothing in common with ethanol alcohols that dry the skin.

Jojoba seed oil / simmondsia chinensis
Nourishing, moisturizing and skin softening. Technically not an oil but a wax ester, it’s one of the closest things to human sebum and absorbs easily to help improve skin’s barrier function.

Kojic acid
Helps skin look brighter and more even, fades discoloration and dark spots. Works by blocking the enzyme tyrosinase, and inhibiting production of melanin in the skin. Antioxidant.

Mild, sugar-based foaming agent.

Lecithin

What we leave out

The US has banned just 30 ingredients from beauty products. The EU, over 1,500. Women in the US apply an average of 168 chemicals to their skin every day, and these can include carcinogens, hormone disruptors and neurotoxins banned in many other countries.

The Six Gldn Clean Pledge

We’ve taken the EU’s unsafe ingredient list as our standard and gone a step further. We’ve excluded over 2,500 unsafe or potentially harmful ingredients. If the jury’s still out on an ingredient, we leave it out. You can trust the safety of Six Gldn products.
